About Us

Not too much to say (at least not yet)... no long list of credentials... just a story that's worth sharing. I'm Adam Vaughan. My wife, Kelly, will also be sharing. We have 6 children. Our two sons, Lincoln and Tucker, have gone to be with the Lord. The remaining four with us are Emmiline, Eloise, Elliott and Charli. Charli is a triplet. Her brothers Lincoln and Tucker are identical twins. They're dancing with Jesus right now, and they're not sad about it at all!

playtime

In the midst of endless unpacking...
The smalls remind...
This task-oriented woman to play.
Finding old tools and toys of disguise that have been buried in boxes...
They rediscover old friends.
Squinting with pride...
Size is no matter.

Big sisters delight in sharing their treasures as well.
And little bodies with big smiles play along...
Lighting up Faith.
The eldest smalls need play too.
Being home schooled and all their besties back in K-town...
There is a gap.
Thankful they have each other.
Family playtime can be some of the sweetest times.

Mom and daughter time has extreme value as well.
I pause from production to join in the painting.
Princess Emmiline's request.
Glow in the dark polish with mom.

Getting older and feeling it everyday.
The smalls remind me that in play...
Youthful joy is painted back in with each...
And every stroke.

Blowing away toxic fumes...
That tempt to fill my lungs with the lies...
That I am simply too old.

I watch and learn from The Smalls around here.
I play along.
For all to soon...
These times will be a fuzzy memory.
Choosing laughter today...
Choosing play...
Gonna trade in my norm...
For one of theirs.
Breathing in and out...
Thankfulness...
Praising God...
That... I get to...
Share life...
Side by side...
And learn about playtime from some of the best teachers around.

When God's children play and live in unity...
It's like precious oil running down on the head...
For there the Lord has commanded blessing...
Life evermore.
Psalm 133
