About Us

Not too much to say (at least not yet)... no long list of credentials... just a story that's worth sharing. I'm Adam Vaughan. My wife, Kelly, will also be sharing. We have 6 children. Our two sons, Lincoln and Tucker, have gone to be with the Lord. The remaining four with us are Emmiline, Eloise, Elliott and Charli. Charli is a triplet. Her brothers Lincoln and Tucker are identical twins. They're dancing with Jesus right now, and they're not sad about it at all!

willows

Pastor says these are us...
He loves Weeping Willows... He always has.

He envisions branches climbed... snow falling unable weigh down... a fairytale tree.

Two trees side by side... filled with years of story gracefully moving with the wind.  Not opposing earth's blow... choosing to dance in the breeze.

Trees...
Layers of story buried in the rings.
Engraved with promise.

Seasons displaying greatest glory...
Birthed through death...
Eclipsed by glory... always on the horizon.

Weeping Willows... beauty swaying and singing...
Signifying profound grief...

Hmmm... Pastor knows not what he sees...
Two trees...
Full of life... love... togetherness...
and grief.

We have experienced all... tomorrow holds more.

This tree...
The crying tree.
Tears dripping rain from it's branches...
Healthy  and alive.
Tender...
Rooted by the stream... yet flexible.

I've never particularly enjoyed these trees...
Until yesterday.

Pastor speaking prophetically about seeing us in those trees has caused an affection to grow...
It speaks of us...
Thriving near water...
Pruning required in the growth to maintain health...
Flourishing in well drained soil...
Preferring much SON light...

What my Prince sees in his fairytale tree...
Is not a request for me to let down my locks so he can climb to my rescue...

It is an invitation to grow and grieve alongside...
Praising God for tears that water the earth...
Beauty we reflect...
Shade we extend like a friend...
Strong so others can climb on and rest.

Thanking God for Weeping Willows today...
The trees...
And The Hopefuls
