A giant day for our country.
Last night...
As the smalls and I shared some quiet before bed...
We read about one of the first election days.
My heart was humbled as the true hearts of Gods people were revealed.
He longed to be their God and King...
The people wanted someone else.
God sent Samuel to anoint His elect...
He sent Him to the house of 8 sons.
The house of Jesse.
In those days... the people didn't care about character...
They cared about looks.
Was he handsome?
Was he strong?
Did he look like a King?
I love love love that God chose David.
A "teenie weenie true king."
Small and young.
Our world looks at outward things...
The Lord looks at the heart.
Praying that The Spirit would give us "heart eyes"
As we cast our vote today.
May He lead us to the man that most honors and most reflects God's character...
His very heart.
May revival break out in the poll booths...
May this be a turning point in our nation...
A time of...
Repentance...
Restoration...
Jubilee...
Away from man...
Back to God.
The heart...
It's the wellspring.
Praying that all pollutants that have been poured out would dissipate...
Oh how He longs to gather us in...
To be one nation under His Wing.
Thankful that freedom has already rung in our hearts...
May it be so for all creation.
Today...
A giant day!
Praying we learn from the past...
That sometimes the best choice...
Often doesn't appear worthy of consideration...
Because he is "teenie weenie..."
But as we know... that "teenie weenie..."
Ended up becoming...
Quite the giant-killer.
